Laserforce confirms that a settlement has been reached in a lawsuit seeking to protect proprietary customer data against an attempt by a competitor to acquire it from a former Laserforce contractor.

In the lawsuit, Laserforce contended that Erik Guthrie, Zone USA’s VP of Sales & Marketing, attempted to purchase Laserforce’s information such as system details, private contact info, and maintenance records. While the terms of the settlement are confidential, Laserforce has confirmed that no Laserforce or customer information was ever disclosed or sold to Mr. Guthrie or anyone else outside of Laserforce.

No one likes unsolicited sales calls or their private contact details being given out, let alone sold, without their permission. We’re pleased that we were able to reach an agreement that affirms the safety and confidentiality of our customer data. We will always vigorously defend our company and operators from improper attacks from competitors.
